I have found that one of the biggest barriers to a vegan lifestyle is the lack of awareness around the delicious plant-based options available.
Most of us want to live a healthy, vibrant, cruelty free life that benefits not only the way we look, feel and function, but is also environmentally friendly; but simply don't know where to start and feel this lifestyle would be too limiting and hard to maintain.
Many years ago, I was one of these people!
However, after losing my partner to cancer at 24 I was forced to examine what truly promotes and harms our health. I discovered that almost everything I had been taught about diet, nutrition and health was either biased or incomplete.
What I learned changed my life and the lives of those around me forever. I integrated this new knowledge into my daily routine and found that I had never felt, performed or looked better. What we often forget is that food is not just calories; it's information. Information that communicates to every cell in our body.
By focussing on nourishing our cells and making more informed decisions we can transform our lives and our planet. Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel. I feel deeply that it's part of my mission here on earth to show you.
While a plant based diet is only one facet of what I learned and implemented, I have created this book to introduce you to the vast array of meals that can be created using plants, and that healthy living doesn't have to be a drag.
